Derrelle Janey, in concert with the Chief Administrative Officer, has responsibility for operations management, including strategic, tactical and short-term operations management for the firm.
Additionally, Derrelle is directly responsible to and supports the CEO in managing and executing on the corporate strategy of the firm, a role which is accountable for evaluation of potential organic and inorganic growth options for the business.
Derrelle started his career in the legal department of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and subsequently held several assignments within the Federal Reserve System, including Senior Economic Analyst in Research and Market Analysis Group; Secretary to the New York Payments Risk Committee; and Federal Reserve representative to the G-7 central bank effort to analyze risk in Latin American banking and securities settlement markets. Derrelle also served as a member of the Corporate Strategy group at the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank directly advising the Bank’s Chief Operating Officer.
Derrelle also has deep private-sector experience, including serving as a Managing Director at a boutique advisory firm in San Francisco, Front-Line Strategic Management Consulting (later acquired by Navigant Consulting), where he advised Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 businesses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate strategy topics.
Prior to joining Pali, Derrelle was president of an early-stage financial services company where he led its rapid growth over 4 years.
Derrelle holds a BA from Kenyon College and a JD from the University of Michigan Law School. He lives in New York with his wife.
