Before joining the Pali in the Spring of 2002, Richard was at ING Barings where he was a Managing Director and Head of European Trading and Sales Trading. Prior to that he worked in New York as Head of Equities for HSBC from 1995 to 1999. In that role he was responsible for building the U.S. equity business, increasing their International Equity revenues from $7M to $100M.

From 1989 to 1995 he served as Managing Director of NatWest Securities in New York, where he built the pan-European business and ran all trading, including U.S. equities. Under his leadership, NatWest Securities attained the highest Autex ranking of any foreign broker (12th) for NYSE listed securities.

Richard holds Series 7 in the U.S. and is an approved person with the FSA in the United Kingdom, as well as being registered with the Deutsche Borse. He lives in London with his wife and three children.
