Prior to joining Pali in the Summer of 2003, Laurie was a founding principal in Ashcastle, a London-based hedge fund. Before that, he was responsible for the management of event-driven advisory and execution teams at Commerzbank, Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette, and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. Prior to 1998 Laurie was in the City for over ten years, in a variety of trading and management positions including establishing the European business for Mesirow.
